THE BHOLARAM RAG GROUP :A Journey of Growth
Today, the Bholaram RAG group is guided by the able and clear-headed thinking of two young stalwarts of the industrial landscape of India, Ramesh and Anil Goenka. They are third-generation entrepreneurs who are highly experienced and respected leaders in the field. From a small beginning in Bihar in the 80’s, under their tutelage, the Bholaram RAG Group has today grown to become a large conglomerate with large interests in steel, education, FMCGs (food processing and manufacturing units) and healthcare. The group has also actively sought to give back to society through its various NGOs and other CSR activities
It is a story of unparalleled success and growth through a clear vision, high service standards and excellence in manufacturing.
Founded as a company for Iron & Steel trading with TISCO (The Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited) and SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited), they soon followed it up with their own manufacturing unit in Bihar in the year 1991.
As India began a phase of industrialisation, and Indian industry went global, the Bholaram RAG Group was a leading member of India’s expansion plans as an exporter of raw steel products. From their humble beginnings in Bihar, the group moved its headquarters to India’s economic and manufacturing hub, Maharashtra. In 2005, Bholaram Metals Industries Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Wada, an area close to Mumbai, the financial capital of India.
As demand started to grow, regionally and globally, Indian industry too grew with and the Bholaram RAG Group became an intrinsic part of this growth. To cater to this ever-growing demand, the group started Wada Steel Mould (India) Pvt. Ltd. in 2006 And from there group has not looked back since. 2018 saw the launch of Anant Alloys and Steel LLP to meet the rising demand for Indian steel products from international clients.
After planting a global footprint in the steel industry, the vision of the founders and their following generations has seen the group make unprecedented strides in other fields as well. With Ramesh and Anil Goenka at the helm, the group has expanded into international markets as well. Apart from their offices in Mumbai and Gujarat, the group has now commenced operations in the Middle-East.
The group comprises a workforce of over 2000 individuals who work passionately towards providing the best quality products and optimal deliveries. It is a feature of the management of the group that every employee and associate of the group is seen as a member of an extended family. This generates unprecedented loyalty amongst the workforce is one of the main reasons for the expansion of the group – everyone works for growth of the family.
